While the very first Felt was a triathlon bike, their line of performance bikes has expanded to include Mountain Bikes, Road Bikes, Cyclocross, Cruisers and more. For Felt it is a continuous process to improve and redesign their bicycle offerings to their customers.

Where Felt Bikes Came From

As an experienced triathlon racer, Jim Felt knew what it took to win on the bike and had a very clear vision of what it would take to develop a distinct bike to do this. His ideas included how to streamline a bicycle to make it faster, the optimum angle to generate maximum pedaling power, and overall comfort for the rider. His first opportunity to build a better triathlon bike was all it took for him to prove his claim. That bike (and rider) began winning races and from one bike, he gained a reputation and clientele of pro riders. After 10 years developing and designing his own bicycles, Jim looked for partners to expand his business. He found two partners that complemented each other with their areas of expertise, connections and commitment to a very clear mission statement.
