Giant Bikes was established in 1972 and are based in Taiwan. However, they have previously sold their bikes under other brand names such as Schwinn. Today, Giant bicycles are well know around the world for high quality bicycles and has sales in over 50 countries, in over 10,000 retail stores. The are also famous for designing the compact geometry frame for Giant racing bicycles (included the sloping top tube.)
