Litespeed Bikes

Litespeed Bikes for Sale

Previously a family owned business, Litespeed was not always a bike manufacturer. The company founded by David Lynskey in Tennessee initially dealt with exotic metals where it used to manufacture simple items such as bolts and nuts. The company was soon working with government agencies creating underground gun powder tanks and other items. The company’s interest in bicycles came after one of the founding members got injured while running and needed to take up cycling to aid in recovering. Rather than buying the needed bicycle, the family decided to manufacture their own and so Litespeed was formed.

Back in 2002-2006, Litespeed manufactured its bikes using carbon fiber and aluminum. This later changed and up to date the company uses titanium. The titanium-framed mountain and racing bikes are very famous among many racers from different parts of the world for their functionality and durability. There are times in the past when other European brands have come to Litespeed to have them construct these frames in their own lines. This shows you just how Litespeed is committed and loyal to its clients.

Litespeed Bikes models

One of the most popular models within Litespeed Bikes’ line of work is the Archon which is a racing bike. This one incorporates 6/4 titanium which is used for the top tube. This reduces weight and provides torsion stiffness when the rider is in motion. Another model equally popular with racers is the Icon which possesses many features as the Archon but is a bit heavier. The Icon makes use of 3al-2.5v titanium for the frame and will give you a supple ride wherever you ride. The Sportive model is a road bike designed for stability and comfort. Sportive also offers you speed on any track and your ride will be one of the best experiences. Litespeed’s bikes have been used in different races with most of the racers emerging.
